Writing in Stone is being produced in partnership with Echo Valley Hope, the Wisconsin State Historical Society Press and a growing phalanx of artists, writers, performers and extraordinary helpers.
Here is how you can join in:
Writers, book clubs, historical societies, poets and editors:  There are towering ideas in Wisconsin’s past that need to be read, (re)discovered, brought forth and expressed in succinct and powerful prose.  We are looking for the most inspiring and significant ideas from Wisconsin’s heritage to present within an art project.  See: research input on how to contribute to the message.
Artists, Actors, designers and builders: Do you have design, carpentry, assembly and painting skills? We are constructing LARGE monuments and “speaking trees” that look like stone.   Actors: Events at the Writing in Stone exhibits will feature LIVING STATUES,  live readings and music.  Contact Terese Agnew to be a part of it: Terese@mwt.net
Organizers and Installation Workers:  The exhibits will require help lifting and trucking monuments venues and setting up the installation.  NOTE: they are faux stone, made with (re-purposed) construction foam and wood. (not too heavy).   We need help with publicity, funding and logistics. If you have computer skills with organizing, sending out information and updates—you’re wanted! If you are experienced coordinating groups and teams—you will be welcomed and adored. If you have funding ideas and can help implement them—well— there is eternal devotion.
Media documentors: This is how history is made. A chance to amplify the voice of people in an unforgettable setting.
